Nautical baby shower!

My sister in-law had a beautiful baby shower over the weekend and I just had to share her Pinterest inspired party! These are not my ideas but I just to share what they had done!

The table decor doubled as a gift! I love decor that is useful! In the center was a tall layered diaper cakes and on each side was an additional single layer diaper cake. Free diapers awesome!

Chips ahoy!!! For food they had mini turkey sandwiches, chips, a fruit sail ship, and a veggie tray. I honestly believe the better the food the better the party.

I thought this was so adorable. The napkins had lifesaver mints tied onto the set. It was super cute and after the food I needed a mint.

The drink was pink lemonade. The fish floats in the drink was a great touch(as long as they haven’t been used before lol) and cute straws.

The hostess had some home decor that matched the theme of the shower. She had some through out the house.

Dessert! My favorite. The cake bites were my sisters favorite. I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try one. BUT I did eat the mini cheesecake bits. They were awesome. They were nilla wafers with cheesecake frosting and a cherry filling on top. They were the best little treats ever! So good.

Last but not least the party favors. They keep with the sail theme and inside they had salt water taffy.
This shower was so cute I had to share! Good job hostesses!!!

Frozen Party

I’m so excited to finally share the Frozen Party! It’s been a while since I posted but I hope it will be worth the wait. What little girl is not obsessed with Disney’s Frozen? I love the movie so when my daughter said she wanted that theme for her party I definitely didn’t fight it!

The dessert table was pretty simple. The best part of this I didn’t buy anything but the plastic table cloths! When Christmas was over I kept out some of my Christmas decoration for the party. My mom and sister let me borrow some of their items and we were in business.

All of the hanging snow was from one garland. The vintage candle sticks brought in a old world look that Frozen has. Glitter is always welcome at a little girls birthday party!

I loved the look of these cupcake holders. I got them at Zurchers for 2 dollars.

My mom helped me out and made the snowflake sugar cookies that tasted as good and they look! I pretty sure I had 5 of them.

I am not a cake decorator. I had to figure something out because there are just not cute Frozen cakes to buy right now. Snowflakes are a little easier for me to do so I made the cake blue and threw on some snowflakes and crystal sugar.

I’m a true believer in having snacks at all parties. I had blue candy, snow balls (marshmallows), and snow covered donuts. Most of all the food was gone by the end of the night.

Alright here was the hard party. Making my crappy looking garage look like a magical snow wonderland. I love plastic table cloths, they covered a lot of the bad stuff. The lights were needed since we blocked some lights. And of course we hung a bunch of snowflake ornaments.

The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. I’m glad they really liked it. I think I hung around 40 snowflakes.

More lights more snowflakes

We needed some serving table space. The branch worked perfectly to hang snowflakes and add a winter look. And it was free.

The silver platters are at the dollar store! And the silver ball was a Christmas decoration but on a candle stick.

The table décor was pretty simple. Vintage with some crystal.

We had two parties. One for kids and one for adults.

Kids party~ we had them make there own Olaf, make there own magic snow, we had them find the difference in the picture and that filled an hour! I got the olaf print out and the other awesome printable at..

This lady did an awesome job with this stuff so definitely check it out. Activity Sheets from the Disney film FROZEN, available in theaters November 27th (

To make there own snow

Magic Bottle Tutorial.

I found this on pinterest and put a twist on the title to have it fit the party. But the kids loved it! To read more about this craft check out

For the adult party we ate meatball sandwiches with salad which was a hit and kept cost down and it’s easy. You just put a bag of meatballs and one can of sauce and warm it up in a crockpot. That’s it. Easy. When you’re feeding a lot of people easy is best. I hope you enjoyed this party! let me know what you think!

Despicable Me Party

I’m finally getting this party up! My kids love the new Despicable me movie so when I asked my son what kind of party he wanted he yelled “MINION!” The week before the party I hurt my back pretty badly but thanks to family and friend I got it done! Here it goes!

This party was hard because there is not a lot out there for a despicable me party. Our local stores hadn’t gotten the party supply yet so I had to find images on the internet.

I loved the way this dessert table turned out. Paper clouds and streamers for the backdrop was a cheap way give color to the dessert table. Also it pulled the focus to the dessert table.

I’m so glad minions are so easy to make! I made them from foam sheets from the dollar store. The balloons are chevron paper for 39 cents. The eyes I got from a website

Water is easy to have at a party but you’ve got to make it better looking. I made the labels with images from google.

I got these cute chevron print bags from I bought a pack for stickers from partyland and added orange ribbon.

I am so grateful to my neighbor so helping me this day! She made these cupcakes and cookies! The cupcake idea came from pinterest! is where I saw the idea. This party was amazing. I used the candy eyes from the grocery store and it saved a ton of time!

I love these cookies! I bought the sugar cookies and frosting. Just food coloring and an awesome neighbor and you get perfect cookies.

Here again my back was killing me and I couldn’t bake too much. So I had to improvise! I got this 12 inch white cake for $10 and added all the color dots. Easy! The Minion on top is from Mcdonalds!

I love these flags. I got them from a local paper store for 1.50.

I bought the straws which all the kids loved and added color to the table for 3 dollars at The ribbon was left over in my closet.

This is for all those Despicable Me 2 lovers! Purple jello and coolwhip for a crazy minion jello dessert.

The birthday boy loved his party! My sister also helped me a ton with the garage! All the purple splats are from the “jelly shooter” It was a fun way to decorate the garage. Thanks for everyone who helped! It was fun! Happy birthday baby boy!

Ice cream party

I had the privilege of going to my neighbor’s baby’s first birthday! It was adorable! It was ice cream theme. With her permission I just had to show you what she did!

I loved the vintage flare! She just used a vintage desk as the dessert table

She made this banner with doilies and paper.

These were the best! They are cupcakes inside a ice cream cone! The kids loved them! The red gum ball on the top was my favorite.

She had an ice cream bar and of course cute labels for everything!

The banner on the table had the birthday girls name on it.

I love the treat bags! Paper sacks with an ice cream cone on the front. Love.

Not only was it cute it taste awesome!

You can never go wrong with mason jars and pink straws!
I really enjoyed this party I hope you do to! Remember to follow via email, Facebook, twitter, or Pinterest! Let me know what you think!

Diego party

This party is from our friend at ! It’s adorable.

This party is so cute. Simple and still awesome.

My kids don’t watch Diego but all of their friends do! I think this is a great way to have a theme party without it looking store bought.

I absolutely love this wrapped presents for decorations! I will definitely be doing this at my next party!

I just had to show the cupcakes!
Hope you like it!

Fourth of July Party

Every Year we have a 4th of July party for our families and neighbors. We always have a good time! Last year we had 47 people so I had to make it awesome and cute. So here it goes…..

The invites were simple. Paper, ribbon, and a paper decoration tag from pebbles in my pocket.

Dollar tree had these cute lanterns that I loved and I had to use. They are battery operated so you can light them up. The stars are foam from dollar tree. It comes 6 in a pack. Red, white, and blue in one pack.

I hung them with fishing line.

ImageThis year they have a couple different styles of paper lanterns this year. But the key to getting the cute styles is going now!

ImageI bought the cupcakes at Walmart.(5 dollars)

Image$2.50 for mini cupcakes. We had hotdogs, chips and dip, potato salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad, and jello. The squeeze its were 6 for 2.50 at Walmart.

ImageThese glass dishes are at dollar tree! We used them not only for guacamole but mayo, ketchup, mustard, and relish.

ImageRed Shasta soda ($1) and the star ice cube holder made star ice.

ImageMy mom made this jello! Not only was it cute but it is delicious!

So instead of doing treat bags we had candy! I got all this candy from Winco. Winco has barrels of stuff and you buy it by the ounce or pound. For all the candy it was 10 dollars. Starting the end of may they get the red, white, and blue candy.

ImageI got all the glass jars I had and filled them up.Image

The bags I got were from zurchers for 1.50

ImageWe sat some chairs inside and some out. It was really got that day so we figured we had to have sitting inside with the AC. Once again it was dollar store table cloths to the rescue.

ImageAll this was from the dollar store. Mint taffy at all the tables. The star dish and table topper are from dollar tree.

ImageAll the tin buckets were used to take more candy home at the end.

ImageOutside we had hanging lanterns and lights wrapped in red white and blue garland that made it really sparkle at night. I wish I had a better camera at that time but this is going to have to do.

ImageFor four stands of lights it took four garlands. $4

ImageMy lame attempt at trying to capture how cool looking it was. The teenagers had me keep it us so they could use it for a date. lol.

ImageAt the end of the night it was 45 minutes of awesome fireworks. Black cat band are pretty awesome but you gotta try a TNT firework called the Mexican Wave. We try to get a variety.

Well there you have it! We had a blast and I hope you can to. The Grand total for food and decorations for 47 people was $101.68!
